We provide evaluations that assess symptoms of ADHD and determine whether your child has the disorder. Several different types of assessments can be performed to evaluate ADHD, including a comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation or briefer screening and testing methods. It is often helpful and critical to evaluate executive function (EF) skills, a set of skills that we use to help us organize our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in order to plan and achieve goals. Students with ADHD typically struggle with EF skills as well, which can be very impairing in day-to-day life.
We will perform a consultation with you prior to the evaluation to plan an appropriate evaluation that will clarify your child’s diagnosis and what type of supports he/she requires build skills and compensate for areas of challenge.
